Clean-Up Days
Twice each year, usually in April and in October, San Bernardino County sponsors Community Clean-up & Recycling Day at its landfills. County (and City/Town) residents may dispose of excess trash, furniture, leaves, brush, etc. AT NO COST. Tires require special handling fee and are not included in the free dump day. No hazardous materials, televisions, or computers will be accepted. County residents may delivre TVs and monitors to Burrtec Waste Industries at 2340 W. Main St., Barstow. Only privately owned cars, station wagons, cars with trailers, and pick-up trucks are permitted. Proof of residency will be required. Don't forget to cover all loads going to the landfill or the County will charge you, even on FREE Dump Day.
In Barstow

Household Hazardous Waste Bin open every Saturday for FREE from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 900 South Ave. H, Barstow. Take all recyclable metal to Burrtec Waste Industries at 2340 W. Main St., Barstow, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - noon for FREE.
In Victor Valley
On Community Clean-Up Days, volunteers are needed to help clean up pre-designated areas of town. Community service organizations, businesses, schools, clubs, families and individuals are encouraged to participate. Volunteers must sign up in advance, then check in for assignments at Town Hall, 14955 Dale Evans Parkway. The Town of Apple Valley provides water and all the trash bags needed, and each volunteer receives a t-shirt and lunch!

In Morongo Basin
Your local Landers Landfill is located at 59200 Winters Rd, Landers. Directions: Take Highway 247 (north) to Buena Vista, travel east on Buena Vista to Avalon Avenue, turn left on Avalon Avenue and travel to Winters Road, turn right on Winters Road and follow the signs to landfill site. In Big Bear Valley
Big Bear Valley residents can take their materials to Big Bear Transfer station at Holcomb Valley Road next to the old landfill. The Clean Bear Site #1, located next to 41970 Garstin Rd, accepts yard waste, pine needles, tree trimmings and bulky items like furniture and appliances.
